Since the 1992 launch of Topex/Poseidon, Cnes have been involved with Nasa/JPL in providing information about satellite altimetry techniques, applications and science to the world.  Outreach is a means of explaining the data, what they allow, to ensure that altimetry data and information are used, and to attract attention on the technique and its usefulness in everyday life.
