News of Swot satellite

Some information on the building of the Swot satellite and the testing of the instruments and platform parts. 

March 2019: KaRIn Radio-Frequency Unit payload flight model in testing

The KaRIN Radio Frequency Unit Flight model is being tested in Thalès Alenia Space premises in Toulouse. It will be delivered by Cnes for integration at JPL with the KaRIn instrument in April 2019.

March 2019: Poseidon-3C Flight Model in testing

The Nadir Altimeter Poseidon -3C is identical to the Unit flown on Jason -3. It is currently assembled on a flight panel provided by JPL in Thalès Alenia Space premises in Toulouse and is undergoing acceptance testing before delivery by Cnes to JPL mid 2019.

March 2019: Doris flight model built; tests ongoing

The flight model is currently under testing. Tests are ongoing, and delivery should be on time for the Assembly, Integration, and Test (AIT) at JPL during the second half of 2019. 

February 2019: The Swot platform is ready for equipment integration

The Swot platform is now equipped with the propulsion and the harness. The equipment integration and platform testing will start in fall 2019.

2018: Poseidon-3C being tested

The flight model have been built and tested (modules as well as antenna). It will be delivered first quarter of 2019 to JPL
