A problem has been noticed and then updated on the Dynamic Atmospheric Correction product since May, 11th. Consequently the IGDR products have been also impacted.
The re-processing of the DAC product released has been done and IGDR one is on-going
The so-called Dynamic Atmospheric Correction (D.A.C.) generated with the SALP DAC model was strongly affected by a change of the input atmospheric data format. More precisely the Low Frequency fraction of the DAC (derived from the Inverse Barometer) is the cause of the effect, whereas the High Frequency fraction of the DAC correction (derived from the DAC model) is correct. The impact on the correction is very important and is also illustrated by the monitoring of the corresponding parameter on mission (named hf_fluctuations_corr for Jason-2 products), see graphics beside.
Consequently, the DAC processor has been updated to correct for this anomaly and the DAC grids have been reprocessed from May 11th (as shown in the graphics beside). The new ancillary data will overwrite the erroneous files on the AVISO repositories.
A reprocessing of the affected IGDR files is on-going for a return to the nominal situation.
