The United Nations designated 8 June as World Ocean Day. Many organisations in more than 50 countries around the globe highlight ocean and climate issues with the objective to make a significant contribution to the Conference of Parties to be held in Copenhagen next December. In Paris, in link with the French Ministry for Environment and "Le Grenelle de la Mer", an exhibition and activities "<link fileadmin documents news mod_actus wod_affiche_journee_mer_porte_doree_2009.pdf download>Journées de la Mer"  will take place at the Aquarium of the Porte Dorée from June 8 to 14 2009.
