Following the successful launch of the space telescope Glast from Cape Canaveral on 11 June, it has now been confirmed that the Jason-2 altimetry satellite will be launched with a Delta II launcher vehicle on 20 June.

Following the successful launch of the space telescope Glast from Cape Canaveral on 11 June, it has now been confirmed that the Jason-2 altimetry satellite will be launched with a Delta II launcher vehicle on 20 June. The two satellites launched with a few days apart, share the same ground crews and have exchanged the spare flight batteries of the second stage of the Delta II rocket. Everything was perfect yesterday with the Glast litf-off, the same spare flight batteries will be install on the Jason-2 launcher on June 13. The next milestones in the campaign are:
  • Flight Readiness Review, 16 June
  • Mission Dress Rehearsal, 17 June
  • Launch Readiness review, 18 June
