Category: Operational news

The Jason-2 spacecraft entered safe mode on 25 March 2013 at approximately 03:30:59 UT, immediately interrupting its measurements during Cycle 174.

The satellite is currently in a safe and stable Sun-pointing configuration. To date no root cause has been clearly identified. Expert teams from CNES and industry (TAS) have been activated. The 4 partners operational teams are working closely to support current and future operations. The mission will resume as soon as this anomaly is understood, and we will keep you informed of our progress.

Very best regards.
