Few weeks after celebrating its tenth year of services, Envisat has stopped sending data to Earth. After investigation and several scenarios, no reaction from the satellite is observed. Esa declares officially the end of mission for Envisat.

Few weeks after celebrating its tenth year of service, Envisat has stopped sending data to Earth (see our previous <link http: www.aviso.oceanobs.com en news-storage news-detail _top external-link-new-window>news). Esa's mission control has worked to re-establish contact with the satellite but there has been no reaction from the satellite. Today, Esa declares officially the end of mission for Envisat. Therefore, no Ssalto/Duacs data from Envisat can be released.
