SARAL AltiKa noise figures measured in orbit

The noise figures on the 3 geophysical parameters (range, SWH and sigma_naught) have been computed with the SARAL Altika altimeter flight data. This demonstrates the very good data quality provided by this instrument. In addition, we have compared those figures to the requirements and/or with the ground test performed during integration, as depicted in the table below the performances are very good and exceeding the mission requirements.
