Great news, the SWOT mission has just passed an important milestone with the authorization to proceed with SWOT Phase C/D/E1. Phase C (detailed definition)/phase D (realization/qualification)/phase E (exploitation)

Per the plan confirmed at the March 30th Joint Steering Group,  a major decision  to the CNES SWOT program has been taken by CNES’s Board of Directors during its quarterly meeting mid-July at the CNES Head Office in Paris Les Halles, giving the go-ahead for the SWOT Phase C/D/E1. It required an intense and thorough phase of preparation by the Program and Project Team. The excellent partnership between NASA and CNES is one of the strongest  aspects of this challenging program. The teams will continue to work together with the same team spirit to make this mission a success!
