PISTACH Coastal & Hydrology products: updates and reprocessing
February 2014: Software update as from cycle 205
The production of Coastal and Hydrological (PISTACH) products was stopped during few days because a correction has been fixed on RED3 and OCE3 retracking. The production is now resumed providing the cycle 205. Note that the impact of the correction is very low (taking into account the variations of the orbit).
January 2014: Software updates impacting all the RED3 and OCE3 retracking-deduced fields
A software upgrade is on-going on the Coastal and Hydrological Jason-2 products (PISTACH) production system. An anomaly in the RED3 and OCE3 retracking algorithms would be particularly fixed.
This correction will impact all the RED3 and OCE3 retracking-deduced fields (range, sig0, swh,…) provided in the PISTACH products.
At the moment, the production is stopped. It should restart very soon and all the PISTACH data from cycle 205 (2014-01-24 ~4pm) will be delivered with this new version.
October 2010: Coastal and Hydrology Altimetry product (PISTACH) handbook published
A new handbook, for the Coastal and Hydrology Altimetry (PISTACH) products is now available.
August 2009: Release of new, experimental, coastal and hydrology products
Aviso is now distributing specific products for coastal and continental waters. Dedicated processing and corrections have been applied, leading to more accurate data near the coasts and inland waters. These products are produced by CLS in the frame of the Pistach project, funded by Cnes.
